Wooden deck...
if you build it right it can last you 25 years.
you have to wash it and stain it every five years, and eventually replace some boards at leats the top rails.
You can change the color as you wish.
Prices are more affordable, materials and labor wise.
Composite Decking...
The structure needs to be stronger 
Also the decking structure needs to be  waterproofed or it will rot within 10 years because the deck boars do not absorb water.
You can choose many color and texture  boards.
It requires a bigger investment up front.
You cannot change the color.
It will last up to 45 years before color fading, depending on the sun light received.
